NEW YORK: Pivot, Participant Media’s network focused on Millennials, has added two new members to its executive team.

Jennie Morris has been hired as the senior VP of acquisitions and operations, and Jerry Blake has been tapped as the senior VP of business and legal affairs.

The new execs will be based in Los Angeles.

Morris, a 14-year veteran of domestic and international programming, most recently held the post of VP of affiliate marketing for AMC/Sundance Channel Global. In her new role, Morris will be tasked with expanding Pivot’s slate of on-brand acquisitions, from films to documentaries and specials. She’ll report to Kent Rees, the executive VP of marketing, scheduling and operations.

Blake will report to Jeff Ivers, Participant Media’s COO, and to Evan Shapiro, the company’s president. A former exec for BBC Worldwide America, Blake will oversee all of Pivot’s business and legal affairs.

“Jerry and Jennie bring tremendous experience to the Pivot team,” Shapiro said. “Jerry’s knowledge of the media and legal landscape will help the network reach its future growth goals. Jennie has an innate sense of on-brand programming for Pivot that complements our original series and furthers our mission to entertain while inspiring change through engaging content.”
