Paramount Network Preps Sketch Comedy Browntown

Paramount Network has tied up with mitú, a digital media brand for Latino millennials, to develop the urban sketch comedy series Browntown.

Set in a fictional, predominantly Latino neighborhood, Browntown is meant to reflect the diversity in the U.S. today. Each half-hour episode will feature a combination of studio-based sketches, digital shorts, music parodies, animated shorts and more. Casting details will be revealed in the future.

Browntown will be executive produced by Doug Greiff and Beatriz Acevedo, co-founders of mitú. The show is part of the digital media brand’s efforts to bolster its development and long-form content.
