Ovation has picked up a third season of Versailles from Banijay Rights, which also licensed the network a second season of Rachel Hunter’s Tour of Beauty.

On the heels of the successful season two premiere of Versailles, Ovation will bring ten new episodes of the CANAL+ original drama to the U.S. this fall. It will be available on Ovation TV, on VOD and Ovation NOW.

Versailles has been a stunning success for Ovation since the season one premiere,” said Scott Woodward, the executive VP of programming at Ovation. “Season two exceeded our expectations, surging past the network’s benchmarks for original premieres. Particularly thrilling for us was the marked uptick across all our social media platforms and interest in our original behind-the-scenes and documentary content about Versailles. It had the ‘tide raises all ships’ effect and we certainly are eager to ride the wave into 2018 with season three.”

Ovation also licensed from Banijay Rights season two of Rachel Hunter’s Tour of Beauty, bringing ten new episodes of the popular travel show to the channel. Ovation gains U.S. cable premiere rights to the series for Ovation TV, as well as digital rights for VOD and Ovation NOW.

“Ovation had a lot of success with the first season of Tour of Beauty so we are especially delighted that we will be able to expand the second season to our JOURNY app, which is all about cultural tourism,” said Woodward. “This season focuses on the Americas and we know our Ovation audience will once again fall in love with Rachel’s wonderfully warm and welcoming style and a whole new millennial audience for JOURNY will be introduced to her inspiring discoveries as well.”
