Original Media Bolsters Production & Creative Teams

NEW YORK: Brenda Hurley has been appointed COO for both True Entertainment and Original Media, while Nikki Borrelli, Todd Hurvitz and Lisa Bloch are joining Original Media as senior VP of production and operations, senior VP of current programming and VP of current programming, respectively.

Hurley, who previously served as COO of just True Entertainment, is now charged with managing both companies' daily operations, including production, finance, accounting and HR. She will oversee all financial and operational duties for both companies. Earlier in her career, she was the VP of production and entertainment at National Video Center.

Prior to her new appointment, Borrelli was VP of production at True Entertainment, where she supervised day-to-day production and operations on all series and pilots, including The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes and Vanity Fair Confidential. In her new position, she will handle the day-to-day production and business affairs of all pilots and shows, and will also oversee the operations of Original Media.

Throughout his career, Hurvitz has served as a showrunner, writer, producer and director for both TV and film. After contributing to the production of Punk'd for five seasons, he was a showrunner for such pilots and series as Mel B: It's a Scary World, Porter Ridge and Fat n' Furious, to name a few. He also co-wrote the indie feature film The Meyersons and the sci-fi sequel Lake Placid 2.

Hurvitz and Borrelli will collaborate with Kelly Hefner, Original Media's senior VP of development.

Bloch will work under Hurvitz. She previously was a director, showrunner and exec producer for shows broadcast on ABC, Discovery in the U.S. and U.K., A&E, TLC and MTV. She also served as an EP on Storm Chasers, Louisiana Lockdown and Dead End Express.
