BOSTON: Olympusat, which represents 25 TV networks serving the Hispanic, Specialty and Faith & Family markets, has hired two new executives to drive its distribution efforts in Latin America and the U.S.

Francisco Sibauste joins as the VP of distribution and sales for Latin America. Nick Febrizio has been hired as the VP of distribution and sales for the U.S.

Sibauste will work to launch Olympusat networks in Latin America. He comes to the role after having held senior sales, marketing and business development positions at a number of channels in Latin America, including Playboy, MGM networks and ¡Sorpresa¡ TV. “Olympusat is the leading independent distributor of Hispanic networks in the United States,” said Sibauste. “I am very excited to join the company and help Olympusat expand its market presence into more markets throughout Latin America with our exciting high-definition content and our extensive Spanish-language entertainment networks. Our strategy is to offer unique and value-driven content to multi-channel video providers from Tijuana to Tierra del Fuego.”

Febrizio will be responsible for the sales and distribution for Olympusat with U.S. partners such as Comcast, Time Warner and Cablevision. He previously was a member of the AETN Distribution team and also held long-term distribution, sales and marketing consultant roles with WWE and Univision Communications. “Olympusat’s content fills a giant void in the market for independent, family-friendly, specialty and Hispanic content,” added Febrizio. “Additionally, Olympusat truly provides distributors with flexible, tailored, content solutions designed to meet their local, regional and national needs. Olympusat was the first company to offer independent Spanish-language networks in the U.S. to the cable, DBS and telco industry and has brought to market a suite of leading faith-based and family-friendly networks. With Olympusat’s great array of content, we see many opportunities to expand our partnerships and provide distributors with real solutions that cater to the growing Hispanic market in the U.S.”

“We are pleased to have Francisco Sibauste and Nick Febrizio join our team to address the demand that we are seeing for our content in particular among our Hispanic demographic in the U.S.,” said Tom Mohler, the president and CEO of Olympusat. “Combined, they have over 36 years of experience in the video and entertainment business in both the U.S. and Latin America. We believe that these two veteran multi-channel video executives will help us meet our ambitious goals for 2012 as we expand domestically and in Latin America.”
