Nurse Jackie Renewed for Seventh Season

NEW YORK: Showtime has ordered a seventh season of Nurse Jackie ahead of its season six premiere.

Season six gets under way on April 13 at 9 p.m. The seventh season will begin filming in New York later this year. Nurse Jackie's fifth season averaged 3.13 million weekly viewers across platforms, which is a gain of 14 percent year on year.

The show is a co-production of Showtime and Lionsgate. Edie Falco will return in the starring role.
