LOS ANGELES: Otter Media, a venture formed by AT&T and The Chernin Group (TCG), has elevated Sarah Harden from her role as executive VP of strategy and investments to president of the company.

In her new position, Harden will be charged with driving strategy and operational activities for Otter Media in alignment with both The Chernin Group and AT&T’s growth agendas in the online video space. Harden joined TCG as executive VP in September 2013, where she played key roles in TCG’s majority stake acquisition of Crunchyroll, the formation of Otter Media with AT&T, and Otter Media’s purchasing of a controlling stake in global youth media company Fullscreen. Harden currently sits on the boards at Crunchyroll and Fullscreen.

“Sarah has been integral to Otter Media’s rapid development and success since formation,” said Jesse Jacobs, the president of TCG. “She has successfully led a wide range of activities spanning M&A, operations, strategy and day-to-day execution. She has been a wonderful and effective partner, and I look forward to continuing our work to further develop and grow all of Otter’s OTT businesses.”

“Helping build and develop Otter Media since its inception has been an extremely rewarding experience and has laid a solid foundation for me to manage the venture in its next stage of growth,” Harden added. “I am thrilled to continue collaborating with my colleagues at The Chernin Group and AT&T, and at our portfolio companies Fullscreen and Ellation, to achieve our mutual, ambitious goals.”
