NBCU Bolsters Cable Development Team

NEW YORK: Sam Michaels has become the senior VP of strategic development for NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment and Cable Studios.

Michaels will report to Catherine Dunleavy, the executive VP and CFO of the group. He will work to assess new and monetizable trends and develop strategies for business opportunities for the Cable Entertainment and Cable Studios portfolios. Michaels transitions from a role as VP in the NBCU Strategic Planning & Development Group. 

Katherine Flynn-Vizzini has taken on an expanded role as VP of strategic development for the group. She will report to Michaels. Flynn-Vizzini was previously the VP of finance for the group.
