MIAMI: The miniseries Queen Victoria’s Black Prince, which is on offer from American Cinema International (ACI), is based on the true story of the last King of Punjab, Maharaja Duleep Singh.

“This $10 million [title] has an amazing production value, and we call it our Indian Downton Abbey,” says Chevonne O’Shaughnessy, co-founder and president of ACI. “We also have the theatrical version of Queen Victoria’s Black Prince and it will be released on May 26, 2017.” The theatrical release of The Resurrection of Gavin Stone, meanwhile, is planned for January 20 across 800 screens in the U.S.

ACI’s new TV movie Strangers in Amish Country debuts on February 12, with a launch on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel. “It has romance, family and mystery elements in the story,” O’Shaughnessy says.

She adds, “These three titles garnered so much interest at all the film markets we brought them to, and we’re excited to bring them to NATPE.”
