MPI to Offer Variety of Films

LOS ANGELES: This MIPCOM Mission Pictures International (MPI) plans to present a number of films that span such genres as family, drama and comedy.

Among the many dramas is Christmas for a Dollar, which focuses on a family's struggle to enjoy the holiday season while coping with financial difficulties and the loss of the family matriarch. The movie is set in the U.S. during the Great Depression.

Other dramas to be promoted by MPI include The Ultimate Life, I'm in Love with a Church Girl and Cartas a Elena. There is also Not That Funny, a romantic comedy, and Love Finds You in Sugarcreek, Ohio, which is currently in production.

"Our upcoming roster of films really touch on love, life and the struggles people face," noted Chevonne O'Shaughnessey, the president of MPI. "We are enthusiastic and look forward to expanding them to our global audience."
