Miramax Names EVP for Production & Development

SANTA MONICA: Miramax has hired Zanne Devine as executive VP of production and development for its TV and film efforts.

Devine reports to Thomas Barrack, Jr., the chairman of Miramax, and Steve Schoch, the company's CEO. He will lead content acquisitions, production and development at the studio, overseeing both film and television. Devine has been working with Miramax for the last three years as a producer and strategic advisor on production and development opportunities related to the company's film library. He is currently leading a number of film and TV projects on behalf of Miramax, including the Gangs of New York TV series, the From Dusk Till Dawn series and The Ninth Life of Louis Drax.
