MarVista Comedy Films Launching on Digital Services

LOS ANGELES: MarVista Digital Entertainment (MVDE) is set to debut two comedy features next month across several digital platforms.

Sex Ed, starring Haley Joel Osment (Tusk) and Retta (Parks & Recreation), will debut simultaneously in theaters and on digital November 7. The film follows a new teacher as he lands his first teaching gig at an inner city middle school, where he quickly finds that his pupils are receiving no form of sexual education. The feature will be available on Amazon, AT&T, Google Play, iTunes, Vimeo, VUDU, Vubiquity and iN DEMAND on Cox, Comcast and Time Warner Cable.

Meanwhile, the romantic comedy Muffin Top: A Love Story, featuring David Arquette (Scream) among other actors, will premiere on digital platforms November 4. That title follows a woman’s increasingly desperate and hilarious measures to both lose weight and get a life. It will be available on Amazon, AT&T, DirecTV, Google Play, iTunes, Vubiquity, Vimeo and VUDU.
