SILVER SPRING: RLJ Entertainment has hired PBS Digital Studios co-founder Matt Graham as its VP of North American streaming service Acorn TV.

Graham will start his new post October 20, taking over for Jen Linck, who is moving to RLJE’s West Coast office in the newly created position of VP of marketing strategy. He will be based in RLJE’s Silver Spring office and report to Mark Stevens, the president of Acorn Brands for RLJ Entertainment.

The exec joins RLJE from PBS Digital, where he was co-founder and senior director of PBS Digital Studios, the web-original programming division of PBS. He’s also held key leadership roles in content management at PBS Video and was a co-founder of UMLAUT Films, a film editorial facility in Northern California.

“Acorn TV is leading the way in bringing highly entertaining British programming to U.S. audiences, and with his extensive digital experience, Matt is ideally suited to build on its success,” Stevens said.

Graham added, “I am thrilled to be joining the talented team at RLJ Entertainment. Acorn TV has a remarkable track record of innovation, fantastic content and a loyal audience. It is poised for tremendous growth, and I am excited to help the brand realize its highest potential.”
