MarVista Bulks Up Movie Catalogue

LOS ANGELES: MarVista Entertainment has acquired six new films ahead of MIPTV, including Sexy Evil Genius, which stars Seth Green (The Italian Job, Family Guy), Michelle Trachtenberg (Gossip Girl, 17 Again), Katee Sackhoff (Riddick, Battlestar Galactica), Anthony Michael Hall (The Dark Knight, The Breakfast Club) and William Baldwin (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Gossip Girl).

The 90-minute Sexy Evil Genius is a dark comedy about a sexy yet insane woman who invites four of her ex-lovers to an L.A. bar for a meeting that will drastically alter the course of their lives. MarVista also picked up the thriller Betrayed, a tale of scandal, kidnapping and mystery set in picturesque Cape Cod; If I Had Wings, an inspirational drama about a blind teen who wishes to run on his school's cross-country track team; and Dance-Off, a teen drama about a broke but talented dancer.

Also joining the MarVista catalogue is the family movie Monkey in the Middle, which follows 11-year-old Chris and his neighbor Mara who help a monkey escape from a greedy fair operator. 10,000 Days, which stars Peter Wingfield (X-Men 2), James Harvey Ward (The Dark Knight Rises), Kenneth Meseroll (Dark Skies) and Jay Montalvo (Get Shorty), is also now represented by MarVista.
