LOS ANGELES: Lifetime in the U.S. has picked up the MarVista Entertainment thriller Caught, set to air tomorrow.

The TV movie will air on the network on November 7 at 8 p.m. Produced by Covert Productions, the title follows a high school girl who is kidnapped by the wife of the older man she’s been seeing.

“Creating opportunities for female filmmakers has been high on the agenda for our producing team at MarVista, so we were thrilled when Caught developed from an original idea by MarVista’s executive producer Sharon Bordas,” said Fernando Szew, the CEO of MarVista Entertainment. “From the original script to the superb casting and tight direction, we knew we had produced a stellar movie, and we look forward to longtime television partner Lifetime premiering the movie in the U.S.”

“In making my directorial debut in the thriller genre, it was really important to me to find an incredibly clever story with strong female characters, and I recognized these values in the unique script written by the talented Marcy Holland,” commented the film’s director, Maggie Kiley.
