NEW YORK: Seven new shows picked up by U.S. networks for 2013-14 hail from the NBCUniversal Television Distribution catalogue, among them the comedy About a Boy.

About a Boy, from writer Jason Katims and director Jon Favreau, is headed to NBC’s Tuesday midseason schedule. It will be paired in the night with NBCU’s The Family Guide, a comedy about a family that is actually brought closer together by divorce.

For NBC, the studio also placed Chicago PD, a companion series to Chicago Fire; Dracula, set in the late 19th century; Ironside, starring Blair Underwood; and the comedy Sean Saves the World, featuring Sean Hayes.

NBCU’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine, a single-camera ensemble comedy featuring Saturday Night Live’s Andy Samberg, landed with FOX.
