L.A. Screenings: New from NBCUniversal Television Distribution

NEW YORK: Eight of the new series featured on the U.S. networks’ upcoming schedules hail from the NBCUniversal Television Distribution catalogue, among them the FOX comedy The Mindy Project.

The Mindy Project feature The Office‘s Mindy Kaling in a Bridget Jones-type role. The show is headed to FOX for Tuesday nights.

For NBC, the studio has placed Animal Practice, about a veterinarian who is better with animals than he is humans; Chicago Fire, about the rescue team of Chicago Firehouse 51; and Do No Harm, about a neurosurgeon with a dangerous alternate personality. Also on the NBC lineup is Guys with Kids, centered on three 30-something dads. The midseason NBC series Next Caller, starring Dane Cook, and Infamous will also be screening in Los Angeles.
