Kevin Kasha Climbs the Ranks at Starz

BEVERLY HILLS: Kevin Kasha, the executive VP of worldwide acquisitions and co-productions for Anchor Bay Entertainment, has been upped to head of acquisitions, a newly created role, at Starz.

As head of acquisitions, Kasha will manage film, television programs and digital acquisitions for all of the Starz businesses, including Starz Networks, Starz Worldwide Distribution, Starz Digital Media and Anchor Bay Entertainment.

Since joining Anchor Bay in 2008, Kasha has acquired more than 100 movies, including City Island and Solitary Man. He also picked up the home entertainment and digital rights for The Walking Dead. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at New Line Home Entertainment and Miramax Home Entertainment. He has executive produced a number of video hits, including Lego's Bionicle: Mask of Light, Air Bud Spikes Back and Undisputed II: Last Man Standing, to name a few.
