Smithsonian Channel has elevated Kelli Herod from director to VP of post-production.

Herod oversees a team of assistant editors, coordinators, supervisors and associate producers, while also managing all incoming and outgoing program deliveries. In addition, she creates post asset management systems for the channel and a number of ancillary markets alongside the production technology and library and archives teams.

Herod was first hired by Smithsonian Channel in 2010 as post manager. Earlier in her career, she served as duplication manager at Henninger Media Services.

“Kelli has played a pivotal role in the growth of the Smithsonian Channel over the past eight years,” said David Royle, the executive VP and chief programming officer. “She has extraordinary organizational, technical and business acumen, and she juggles our ever-expanding post-production challenges with an upbeat personality and sheer aplomb. We are lucky to have her as a key member of our team.”
