NEW YORK: Jason Alexander (Seinfeld) has been lined up to guest star in TV Land’s Kirstie, a new comedy series led by Kirstie Alley.

Alexander will portray the agent of Broadway star Maddie Banks, who suddenly reconnects with the son she gave up for adoption. The show will also feature Seinfeld alumni Michael Richards as Banks’ wacky driver, Eric Petersen as the son and Rhea Perlman (Cheers) as Bank’s assistant and best friend. Filming for the series—which is executive produced by writer Marco Pennette, Alley, Jason Weinberg, Larry W. Jones and Keith Cox—is expected to begin later this month.

Alexander commented: "It is a strange and wonderful thing to be working on a brand new show yet surrounded by familiar faces and friends. I’m looking forward to a fun and fabulous time."
