ITV Studios US Enters JV with Marty Adelstein

SHERMAN OAKS: ITV Studios US Group has formed a joint venture with Marty Adelstein to launch Tomorrow ITV Studios, dedicated to scripted content.

The scripted studio will develop, pitch and produce one-hour drama and comedy projects. The output will be represented by ITV Studios Global Entertainment.

The studios' first project is NBC's Aquarius, which was ordered straight to series. The drama, set in 1967, stars David Duchovny as a police sergeant tracking down the cult leader Charles Manson.

Tomorrow ITV Studios will also operate globally, with some projects that are international co-productions. Adelstein, a founding partner of the Endeavor Talent Agency, will serve as president of the new studio. His TV credits include Last Man Standing, Teen Wolf, Prison Break and the upcoming ABC comedy Cristela. Joining Adelstein is Becky Clements, who has worked with Adelstein for the last four years and is an executive producer on Last Man Standing and Cristela.

“While Tomorrow ITV Studios will produce pilots, the objective is to develop and package scripts with talent in a straight-to-series model as we’ve done with Aquarius,” said Adelstein. “I feel fortunate to have partnered with ITV Studios; they are amazingly supportive and innovative and they will be fully backing Tomorrow ITV Studios. With Aquarius they have shown themselves to be a hungry and serious player in this arena. I find this and the fact that we will be working globally very attractive and exciting.”
