Hulu Lands Exclusive Digital Syndication Rights for Community

LOS ANGELES: Through an exclusive deal with Sony Pictures Television, Hulu will be the home of digital syndication for the NBC comedy Community.

Hulu and Hulu Plus subscribers will have access to all episodes of the series, including the first two seasons. Hulu Plus subscribers will get next-day access to episodes from the current season. Hulu and NBC.com will continue to offer the five most recent episodes of the show. The comedy did not receive a slot on NBC’s midseason schedule, with fans now able to turn to Hulu to watch the show during the hiatus.

Alex Kruglov, Hulu’s head of content acquisition, wrote in a blog post: "It’s my great pleasure to announce that starting today, Community is coming to Hulu and Hulu Plus. Hulu Plus will be the exclusive place where fans can watch every episode from every season. Fans can now watch every episode (current and back seasons) of Community on the Hulu Plus subscription service. Hulu Plus subscribers will have next-day access to current season episodes of Community as well as the entire back library of seasons one and two, in HD, on Internet-connected TVs, gaming consoles, Blu-ray players, set-top boxes, and mobile phones and tablets. Users of the free Hulu service can continue to watch five episodes of the current season the day after air."
