HBO Slates New Dramedy Focused on Gay Men Living in San Francisco

NEW YORK: The new half-hour series Looking, about three gay male friends looking for fulfillment in love and life while living in San Francisco, is scheduled for an exclusive launch on HBO on January 19.

The series stars Jonathan Groff (Spring Awakening, HBO’s upcoming The Normal Heart), along with Frankie J. Alvarez (Smash) and Murray Bartlett (August). The city of San Francisco plays out as the fourth character in Looking, as its presence is interwoven with the stories of these three friends. The show comes from collaborators Michael Lannan and Andrew Haigh.
