Comcast Hires for Global Corporate Development & Strategy

PHILADELPHIA: Alexander Evans is joining Comcast Corporation this month as executive VP of global corporate development and strategy.

Evans has been with the private equity firm Providence Equity Partners for the last 17 years, most recently as a managing director and head of the New York office as well as global co-head of the communications sector.

At Comcast, Evans will be reporting to Michael Angelakis, the vice chairman and chief financial officer.

“Alex Evans is a highly talented executive with deep experience in investment and corporate finance within the media, communications and technology sectors, both domestically and internationally,” said Angelakis. “I’m thrilled he will be leading Comcast NBCUniversal’s strategic business initiatives and managing its mergers and acquisitions efforts. He will also partner with our various business units on market development opportunities with a focus on business and geographic expansion.”
