HBO Renews Ballers, Insecure

HBO is bringing back the comedy series Ballers for a fifth season, while Issa Rae’s Insecure is set for a fourth.

Ballers stars Dwayne Johnson as ex-superstar Spencer Strasmore, who has reinvented himself as a financial manager for today’s players. The comedy launched into its fourth season on August 12.

Insecure, created by and starring Rae, follows the friendship of two black women as they deal with their own real-life flaws while attempting to navigate different worlds and cope with an endless series of uncomfortable everyday experiences. Season three of the series debuted on August 12.
