STUDIO CITY: This August, Hallmark Channel is set to air the world premiere of the original movie Stranded in Paradise, which stars Vanessa Marcil (General Hospital) and James Denton (Desperate Housewives).

Shot on location in Puerto Rico, Stranded in Paradise centers on an ambitious executive who finds love during an unsuccessful business trip on a tropical island, which lies in the path of a hurricane. The Johnson Production Group film is inspired by the Women of Faith Fiction Club book of the same name penned by Lori Copeland. It is scheduled to debut on Saturday, August 9 at 9 p.m.

"Bringing Lori's novel to life on screen with this opportunity to film on location in Puerto Rico was picture-perfect for this project," said Michelle Vicary, executive VP of programming for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel. "It's a great story for the network and we were pleased to give it the beautiful backdrop it deserves."
