Fuse Media Taps Current & Development Head

Fuse Media has appointed Jennifer McGovern, a former VH1 exec, as senior VP of current and development, a newly created post that is effective July 10.

McGovern will work out of Los Angeles under J-T Ladt, the company’s chief content officer. She will be responsible for all original content development and production, as well as generating new original content strategies. She is also expected to identify new material, partners and opportunities for long- and short-form original programming for Fuse Media’s various content platforms.

Previously, McGovern oversaw the development of all VH1 East Coast original unscripted programming and led the East Coast development team (Black Ink Crew Chicago, Safeword, VH1 Live!). Prior to that, she was the director of development and production at Oxygen, manager of alternative series at TLC and manager of development at Fox TV Studios.

“Jennifer has built a strong reputation as a creative executive with a proven understanding of the content that resonates with our target audience,” said Ladt. “Her creative expertise in cross-platform content development will stoke Fuse Media’s momentum and growth.”
