Sony Pictures Television Studios (SPTS) has named Jeffrey Glaser as its head of current programming.

As executive VP of U.S. current programming, Glaser will be overseeing the studio’s on-air series. He will replace Kim Rozenfeld, who will be leaving SPTS at the end of the month. Glaser starts September 5.

Glaser joins SPTS from Wondery, a start-up podcast company, which he helped found and served as president of content. Prior to that, he spent nearly 20 years at 20th Century Fox Television, serving as head of current programming for more than half that time. He also held senior positions in Fox’s drama division, overseeing the production of pilots such as James Cameron’s Dark Angel and Joss Whedon’s Angel.
