FOX Reorganizes Programming Team

LOS ANGELES: Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) is combining and reorganizing its development and programming functions, with a series of promotions being made across the drama and comedy departments.

Suzanna Makkos has been elevated to executive VP of comedy development and programming, and will oversee the network's comedy development and series coverage. Lauren Levy Neustadter, who has been promoted to senior VP of the department, and Samata Narra, who has been promoted to VP, will serve as Makkos' senior lieutenants.

Within the drama development and programming team, Terence Carter has been elevated to executive VP, and will lead the network's drama development and programming initiatives. Carter's key lieutenants include Charlie Andrews, who has been elevated to senior VP, as well as senior VP James Oh.

Both of these teams will now report directly to Joe Earley, COO. The network's event series team will continue to be led by senior VP Shana C. Waterman.

"To be a network of the future, we not only need to contemporize the way we do business, but also build the best teams to support that business. Combining our development and programming functions allows us to provide more cohesive support to shows—from inception to finale—and forge even deeper, more collaborative relationships with the creative community," said Earley. "Suzanna and Terence are both gifted executives who—in true FOX spirit—aren't afraid to take big creative swings. I'm thrilled to have them leading these incredible teams and driving our programming efforts to the next level."
