LOS ANGELES: The freshman comedy New Girl has been given a second-season order by FOX, which is also bringing back Raising Hope and Glee.

New Girl is currently the number one new series among adults 18 to 34 and the number two new scripted series among adults 18 to 49. Raising Hope is returning for a third installment to the network, which is airing the first part of a two-part season finale tonight. Currently in its third season, Glee is a top 10 comedy among adults 18 to 49 and is the number one scripted series among teens. The music-filled comedy will return to FOX for a fourth season.

"Over the past season, New Girl has become the hottest new appointment series for young adults; Raising Hope has established itself as one of the smartest and most unique offbeat comedies on television; and Glee has continued its success as a genre-defying, global cultural phenomenon," said Kevin Reilly, the president of entertainment at the Fox Broadcasting Company. "All three of these comedies add a fresh and distinctive flavor to our Tuesday nights, and I’m really happy to bring them back to our air next season."
