LOS ANGELES: Tyler Massey, a former sales executive at Eyeworks International Distribution, has formed his own company, MassMedia International, which will represent formats as well as finished series.

The new outfit will distribute content across genres such as reality, scripted, entertainment and documentary. The company will rep programming from established and up-and-coming producers. MassMedia International will also work to facilitate international co-development and co-productions for new and existing IP globally.

The company's initial slate includes the format Chinese Spelling Hero from 3C Media in China, as well as the format The Big Five Challenge, from Goddunnit Promotions in Zimbabwe.

Massey, the president of MassMedia International (MMI), said: “The industry is embracing good ideas from markets big and small, and MMI is committed to developing territories who have historically been format importers only into exporters as well. Some of the strongest and most unique concepts are created in the most unlikely of places, and I’m excited to work with these talented partners to bring their original ideas to the global marketplace.”
