FilmRise Taps Melissa Wohl as Head of Sales

NEW YORK: FilmRise, a movie and television distribution company, has appointed industry veteran Melissa Wohl as head of sales.

In her new role, Wohl will oversee the sales of FilmRise’s 2017 releases, which include 16 to 24 new theatrical titles and a large number of digital releases. She will also represent FilmRise’s titles at markets and festivals throughout the year, as the company continues to expand its sales team.

Wohl has more than two decades of experience in sales, marketing and acquisitions. She most recently served as senior VP of worldwide distribution at Content Media, where she managed the sales of Content’s film and TV offerings to broadcast and cable networks, syndicators and digital platforms.
