LOS ANGELES: FOX International Channels (FIC) has promoted Sharon Tal Yguado to executive VP of scripted programming and original development.

Her promotion is part of the company’s effort to drive global content strategy into original development.

In her new position, Yguado—who already leads FIC’s global development group—will take on the additional responsibility of managing the company’s original development. She will head the development of several scripted television projects, such as Pulp, Doctored and Future Sociopaths, among others.

Ygado will work out of Los Angeles under the supervision of Hernan Lopez, the president and CEO of FIC. She previously held the title of senior VP of scripted programming at FIC, where she has worked for nearly a decade.

"Sharon has been instrumental in defining FIC’s global programming strategy and securing strong content for all our channels," said Lopez. "As FIC pushes into original development, I am confident that her expert eye and keen sense for breakthrough drama will yield some very exciting projects in the near future."
