EPIX Taps Former Samuel Goldwyn Films Exec

NEW YORK: EPIX has appointed Ian Puente, who previous worked for Samuel Goldwyn Films, as the company’s senior VP of business and legal affairs.

Puente served as general counsel and VP of business development at Samuel Goldwyn Films. During his time with the company, he contributed to the acquisition of such productions as Renoir, Robot & Frank, The Island President, SOMM, Waiting for Lightning and The Whistleblower. Earlier in his career, he worked for Sony Pictures Classics, where he helped negotiate the agreements for Rachel Getting Married, Midnight in Paris, Animal Kingdom and The Secret in Their Eyes, among other films.
