LOS ANGELES: In an effort to build up its original digital entertainment slate, Endemol USA has added Kris Ordaz, Tina Elmo and Nicole Snell to its Los Angeles-based digital entertainment team, effective immediately.

Ordaz has become the new VP of original digital content. She will report to John P. Roberts, the company’s senior VP of digital media and commercial affairs. Before her appointment she was the VP of digital strategy and marketing at Katalyst, where she developed branded content and social media strategies for such existing brands as GE, Pepsi and Virgin Mobile, to name a few.

Working under Ordaz, Elmo will serve as the new director of development for original digital content. She previously worked as a consultant and producer at Sundance Productions, where she oversaw new business and digital development for scripted and unscripted projects.

Snell, who will also report to Ordaz, has been named the director of production for original digital content. She was most recently a production manager for Fashion Star, an NBC reality series. Before that she held the title of line producer at Katalyst Media.

Endemol USA’s new original digital initiatives include a digital series with comedian Cheri Oteri that pokes fun at reality TV, a Fear Factor YouTube channel and a digital docuseries focused on women in the military.

"Kris, Tina and Nicole are an amazing addition to our digital team," said Roberts.

"The formation of this new original digital entertainment group underscores Endemol USA’s strategic commitment to developing quality digital entertainment, an important area of growth.

"We look forward to launching new, original digital entertainment programming and to building business models that will shape where the digital entertainment future is headed."
