Doctor Who Spinoff K9 Finds U.S. Home on Syfy

NEW YORK: K9, a spinoff of the hit U.K. drama Doctor Who, is scheduled to premiere on Syfy in the U.S. during a full series marathon on Christmas Day.

K9, which combines live action and CGI, is about a robotic dog that fights against evil humans and aliens with the help of some teenagers. Voiced by John Leeson, the character, which was created by British writers Bob Baker and Dave Martin, first appeared in the original Doctor Who BBC TV show during the late 1970s.

The 26-episode marathon will air on Tuesday, December 25 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
