Kevin Smith has been named senior VP of business development and partnerships for dick clark productions (dcp).

In this role, Smith will oversee new business opportunities while developing multi-level partnerships with key distributors and advertisers across the company’s roster of programs, including the American Music Awards, the Billboard Music Awards, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, Miss America and a range of other projects. Smith will report to dick clark productions’ president, Mike Mahan.

Smith most recently served as senior VP at Comcast Media 360. Prior to that, he was president of affiliate sales/distribution for TelAmerica Media/CableConnect and VP and general manager at Mega Advertising.

“Kevin’s expertise in revenue strategy and success with content partnerships make him the perfect candidate for this role,” said Mahan. “Televised live-event programming brings unique media opportunities and Kevin’s perspective and industry knowledge will allow for continued growth in new categories.
