CBSSI Promotes Javier Avitia to EVP of Legal & Business Affairs

HOLLYWOOD: Javier Avitia is taking on a new role as the executive VP of legal and business affairs at CBS Studios International (CBSSI), which he has a 15-year history with.

Avitia has worked for CBSSI and its predecessor divisions, CBS Paramount International Television and Paramount International Television, for more than 15 years, most recently serving as senior VP of business affairs. He is reporting to Armando Nuñez, the president and CEO of CBS Global Distribution Group. The new post sees him with oversight for all business and legal affairs for the international division, supporting the company’s operations in content licensing, format sales and international channel ventures.
