CBS Television Distribution & Yahoo! Team Up for Entertainment News Program

LOS ANGELES: A partnership between CBS Television Distribution and Yahoo! sees the syndicated entertainment news magazine The Insider being renamed omg! Insider, along with further efforts to create a new kind of multiplatform offering.

The name change takes effect in January 2013. omg! Insider will combine the broadcasting power of The Insider with the online reach of Yahoo! Kevin Frazier and Brooke Anderson will continue to host the show, bringing in Yahoo! talent such as Kristen Aldridge (omg! NOW) and Michael Yo (The Yo Show on Yahoo!). Yahoo!’s omg! entertainment news site will serve as the exclusive home to video produced by the TV show.

The effort seeks to reinvent how consumers access entertainment news across various screens. Online, Yahoo!’s omg! will provide instant updates on entertainment news, with video clips, celebrity interviews, photo galleries, social features and more. Every evening, the TV show will offer a mix of informal in-studio conversations with celebrities and discussions about the day’s hottest topics and trends.
