CBS Renews Big Bang Theory Through 2016-17 Season

LOS ANGELES: CBS has given The Big Bang Theory a multiyear broadcast renewal, which takes the comedy through the 2016-17 season.

The series is currently TV's most-watched comedy and is the top-rated broadcast entertainment show among adults 18 to 49. It has now been renewed for an additional three seasons.

"Comedy is a big part of our schedule, and The Big Bang Theory is the biggest comedy force on television," said Nina Tassler, the chairman of CBS Entertainment.
