CBS Commits to Full Season of Life in Pieces

NEW YORK: CBS has given a full-season, 22-episode order to Life in Pieces, a new comedy series starring Dianne Wiest, James Brolin, Zoe Lister-Jones, Colin Hanks and Betsy Brandt, among others.

Life in Pieces is a family comedy told through the separate stories of different family members. Additional members of the ensemble cast are Angelique Cabral, Thomas Sadoski, Dan Bakkedahl, Niall Cunningham, Holly J. Barrett and Giselle Eisenberg. Justin Adler, Aaron Kaplan, Jason Winer and Jeff Morton are serving as exec producers for 20th Century Fox Television in association with Kapital Entertainment.

Life in Pieces made its debut on CBS late last month. The show has become this season's number one new comedy in viewers (10.26 million), and in adults between the ages of 25 and 54. It will move into its new regular time period on Thursdays at 8:31 p.m. on November 5.

"Life in Pieces, with one of the best ensemble casts on television, is telling terrific stories in a very unique way, and we're excited to tell many more of them this season," said Glenn Geller, the president of CBS Entertainment.
