NEW YORK: Bravo Media has bolstered its programming team with the promotion of Deirdre Bianchi to the newly created role of VP of program planning and acquisitions.

Bianchi will oversee the schedule of all Bravo programming as well as off-network and motion picture acquisitions. She will liaise with NBCUniversal’s cross-platform programmers as well. Bianchi will focus on Bravo’s upcoming 2012 slate, which includes the late-night talk show Watch What Happens: Live, which recently expanded to five nights a week. She will be based in New York, reporting to David Brewer, the VP of program strategy and acquisitions.

"Deirdre’s invaluable experience and passion for television make her vital to the evolving programming landscape at Bravo," said Brewer. "We are fortunate to have her on our formidable team that will raise the network’s programming to new heights in 2012."
