NEW YORK: The British Academy of Film and Television Arts New York (BAFTA New York) has some new executives joining its board of directors, following a recent election.

Luke Parker Bowles, the executive VP of production for Open Road Integrated Media, was voted vice chairman by the board of directors. Dee Poku, co-founder and CEO of WIE Network, was elected to serve a three-year stint on the board, and four incumbent board members—Vernon Chu, Patrick Connolly, Matthew Kearney and Susan Margolin—won re-election. Charles Tremayne will continue as chairman of the board, Jeff Cotugno remains as treasurer and Vernon Chu will stay as secretary. BAFTA New York’s new board term begins on July 14.

“Luke has been an avid supporter of BAFTA New York and our mission since joining the board last year and is a valued member of the team,” said Tremayne, the chairman of BAFTA New York. “His commitment to promoting the work of British producers, directors and actors in the U.S. is exemplary and I am proud to have him serve as my vice chairman of the board.”

Tremayne continued: “Dee brings a wealth of experience in the media industry as a marketer and philanthropic strategist, as well as the insights that come from leading a successful organization. We are delighted that she is joining our board of directors and I am looking forward to another wonderful term with all of the board members.”
