LOS ANGELES: Benjamin Tappan, who was previously the senior VP of Giant Pictures, has been tapped to serve as the senior VP of television at Landscape Entertainment.

Tappan was at Giant Pictures during its four-year deal with 20th Century Fox. He oversaw the development of such projects as A Good Day to Die Hard, Agent 47 and Go Like Hell. Before becoming a full-time producer, Tappan was the head of literary at ROAR, where he was responsible for overseeing literary clients and the development slate for television and feature clients.

Landscape's current projects include the event series Nazareth, the first production under an overall deal between Landscape and Fox, as well as the recently announced Brand for USA Networks.

“With his development, production, and management track record, Ben is a great fit for this role,” said Bob Cooper, partner at Landscape. “He has a great feel for material and for working with writers, actors and directors, which is a fantastic asset for us.”

“Ben has an exceptional reputation and brings a tremendous amount of talent and energy to his work,” said Tyler Mitchell, partner at Landscape. “Bob and I are committed to expanding our presence in television, and with Ben in this new position, we feel confident that Landscape will continue to grow and succeed.”

“I’m honored to be joining Bob, Tyler and the Landscape team,” added Tappan. “Their incredible taste in material and their passion for their projects is remarkable. Being a part of a company I have such tremendous respect and admiration for is a dream come true.”
