BBC America Adds to Summer of London Programming

NEW YORK: Ahead of the kickoff of the London Olympic Games, BBC America’s Summer of London strand is slated to feature Going for the Gold—The ’48 Games and Absolutely Fabulous: Olympics Special.

Going for the Gold—The ’48 Games is a drama starring Matt Smith (Doctor Who) as Bert Bushnell and Sam Hoare (Jane Eyre) as Dickie Burnell. It will air July 25 at 8 p.m. The last in the three-part series of 20^th anniversary Absolutely Fabulous episodes, the Olympics Special will air immediately after at 10 p.m., simulcast with Logo.

Summer of London has already featured programming such as The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and Twenty Twelve, among others.
