Hot in Cleveland Secures U.S. Syndication Deals

LOS ANGELES: CBS Television Distribution has cleared TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland in more than 65 percent of the U.S. ahead of its 2014 syndication launch.

CBS Television Stations in five markets bought the sitcom, as did stations operated by Weigel Broadcasting, Sunbeam Television Gannett and Belo. Other sales include stations from Sinclair Broadcast Group, LIN TV, Cox Enterprises and Meredith Corp.

Joe DiSalvo, the president of sales at CBS Television Distribution, noted, "Stations have enthusiastically embraced Hot in Cleveland and see huge potential for this sitcom in their lineups. Hot in Cleveland has been a breakout hit for TV Land and is a perfect fit for the broad audience of broadcast syndication."

The series, which stars Betty White, is represented outside of the U.S. by Endemol Worldwide Distribution.
