NEW YORK: ABC Television Network in the U.S. has picked up a second season of 500 Questions, an event game show created by Mark Burnett and Mike Darnell.

500 Questions challenges the country’s smartest people to answer 500 extremely difficult general-knowledge questions. United Artists Media Group produces the program in association with Warner Horizon Television. The second season is slated to begin airing next year.

Darnell said: “When we created 500 Questions, our hope was to bring the event game show back to prime time. Thanks to ABC, we had a great summer run and achieved that goal. We are excited that the show is coming back for a second season.”

Burnett added: “I am so glad we are back; I love this game show event. To win, these geniuses need both brains and endurance as they tackle television’s toughest questions.”
