Amazon Studios’ forthcoming anthology series Modern Love is set to feature among its cast Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway and Emmy Award winner Tina Fey.

Based on the popular New York Times column and weekly podcast, Modern Love will explore love in all of its forms in eight half-hour episodes. The New York Times is producing the series alongside Storied Media Group.

In addition to Hathaway and Fey, the big names slated to appear in Modern Love include Emmy Award nominee John Slattery (Mad Men), Academy Award nominee Dev Patel (Lion), Academy Award nominee Catherine Keener (Get Out), Academy Award nominee Andy Garcia (Ocean’s Eleven) and Cristin Milioti (Black Mirror).

Emmy Rossum (Shameless), Sharon Horgan (Catastrophe, Divorce) and Tom Hall (Sensation) are on board to direct episodes of the anthology series. Horgan will direct the Fey- and Slattery-led episode, which she also wrote. Like Horgan, Hall also wrote his episode, while Rossum will direct an episode written by the late Audrey Wells (Under the Tuscan Sun, The Hate U Give).

John Carney (Once, Sing Street), who serves as writer, director and executive producer for Modern Love, said: “It’s like I woke up in the actor candy store. We’ve managed to assemble a dream cast of my favorite actors. It’s a testament to the reach of the original column and of how, now more than ever, love is the only certainty.”
