Amazon Prime to Offer Seeso Subscription Service

NEW YORK: NBCUniversal’s ad-free comedy streaming channel Seeso will be offered as part of a special subscription option for Amazon Prime members.

Amazon Prime members will soon be able to subscribe to Seeso directly through Amazon Video, giving them access to more than 2,000 hours of new comedies, exclusive shows, curated films and classic stand-up performances. By subscribing directly through Prime members’ Amazon Video accounts, subscribers will have access to the entire Seeso library through the Amazon Video app on TVs, streaming media players, mobile devices, Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick and Fire tablets, or online at Amazon.com/amazonvideo.

“With Seeso’s monthly subscription on Amazon Video, viewers now will have even more ways to access our unmatched library of comedy programming,” said Ben McLean, the senior VP of digital enterprises business operations and strategy at NBCUniversal. “As the first standalone comedy offering, we’re excited to expand our reach to the Amazon Video community, giving them the best premium content—original series, stand-up specials and library video—across every screen.”

“The way people watch TV is changing, and customers want easier access to their favorite shows, regardless of device or subscription,” said Rich Au, the director of content acquisition for Amazon Video Channels. “We’re thrilled that Amazon Prime members will now have the option to subscribe to Seeso on Amazon Video and view all the great premium content they have to offer.”
