AFM Sets 2014 Conference Series Lineup

LONDON: The American Film Market (AFM), which is scheduled to take place November 5 to 12, has unveiled highlights for this year's Conference Series, which focuses on finance, pitching, production, marketing and distribution.

The Conference Series will run from November 7 to 11. The lineup kicks off on Friday, November 7, with the finance conferences “Current Issues in Film Finance” and “Building Your Global Film Finance Strategy.” The following day is dedicated to pitching, with “Pitching Essentials” and “The 2-Minute Pitches.” On November 9, delegates are invited to take part in the production conferences “Producing for a Worldwide Audience” and “Accessing and Securing Talent.” The marketing track, set for November 10, features the sessions “The Engagement Factor: Creating Effective Social Media Campaigns” and “The Role of a Publicist and Why You Need One.” The Conference Series wraps on November 11 with a focus on distribution with the sessions “Video on Demand: 2015” and “DIY Distribution: Finding Your Film’s Digital Niche.”

The Conference Series will take place between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. daily in Santa Monica’s Fairmont Hotel.
